A pair of half-lifted sunglasses sits at the center of James Bousema’s new They Live print, with Nada staring straight ahead as the world around him turns into a packed wall of exposed alien faces. It’s a smart setup for John Carpenter’s film: one living human in full color, surrounded by a grayscale crowd of hollow-eyed ghouls. The regular version carries the rough-brushed title treatment and credits block, leaning closer to a full AMP, while the variant strips that material away focusing on the composition. Bousema’s artwork keeps finding different faces to linger on, which feels right for a movie built on the shock of finally seeing what’s been there all along. Vice Press will release the regular and variant lithographs this afternoon, with sales starting at 1PM ET.
