Cold steel, soft ears. Matt Ferguson is heading back to Star Wars this Tuesday, with a new Bottleneck Gallery release for The Mandalorian and Grogu, and it feels nicely tuned to the series’ whole deal: hard-edged armor, weathered gear, and then that small green face cutting through all of it. Ferguson’s approach usually gives these franchise pieces a clean sense of scale and shape, and that makes a lot of sense for a pairing like Din and Grogu. Bottleneck is offering a number of different formats for the release, it’s good to have have options, including regular screen prints, foil screen prints, a quad giclée edition, and acrylic panels. That range also suits Ferguson’s work well, since his graphic layouts and polished finish tend to shift nicely between print styles without losing the image’s punch.
