Quiet week for us so far as there have not been a ton of movie related releases, but this afternoon Bottleneck Gallery’s drop pairs two very different kinds of large-scale menace, and the contrast is half the fun. DKNG continues their ongoing famous houses series with a Psycho print built around the Bates house and motel at dusk. Cool purples and dusty golds, with the moon sitting low behind the hill, a parked car out front, and tiny lit windows that make the whole place feel even less welcoming. On the other end of the release, Greg Ruth brings Superman into full freefall chaos, diving across a vertigo-inducing cityscape toward a roaring Kaiju whose head fills the frame, teeth, horns, and all. Ruth usually works in moodier territory, so this color piece feels a bit unusual for him in the best way, and it should look especially good as a Giclée. Both releases go live today through Bottleneck at 12 PM ET.
