As we enter the last full week of January, it feels like the first month of the year has flown by. Can’t believe we are at the end of the month already. It hasn’t been too busy a month so far, but as we break free of the holidays and dig into the new year, the pace will no doubt start to pickup.
Bottleneck Gallery starts off the week of releases with new artwork from Tom Whalen and Sergio Sandoval. Tom Whalen‘s release is from the 1996 film Space Jam, which featured Looney Tunes characters, teaming up with Michael Jordan to win back their freedom. The film did well at the box office and went on to become the highest grossing basketball film of all time. The print from Whalen shows some of the main Looney Tunes characters from the film including, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny whose first appearance was in this film. Their adversaries, the Monstars, also made the cut. The Space Jam print is 12″ x 36″ in size and will have two different color versions. The regular version will have an edition of 150 and cost $45. The variant will have an edition of only 50 and cost $55.
BNG’s other release dropping Tuesday is from Sergio Sandoval. Sandoval, who created the character Faun from the film Pan’s Labyrinth, creates some really fantastic artwork. His new release with Bottleneck, Batman: The Animated Series, looks damn fine. This 18″ x 24″ print will come in both regular and foil variant. The regular version will have an edition of 150 and cost $45, while the foil variant will have an edition of 55 and cost $55. All 4 prints go on sale tomorrow, January 25th at 12PM EST on the BNG homepage.
