Diving into the new year with new movie artwork from Mark Chilcott and Bottleneck Gallery for two films, Pinocchio & Robin Hood. Feels good to be back from the holidays and getting back into the swing of things. Though we are taking a bit of a new approach this year, we’ll continue to post upcoming move and game related drops. First up is artwork from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio. The film is noteworthy for its use of stop-motion animation, a technique that del Toro chose for its ability to bring a particular texture and tangibility to the fantasy world he envisioned. This version of the film was well received and Chilcott does a masterful job with the detailed artwork that is representative of the style used in the film. The artwork will drop in two different versions.
Chilcott’s other artwork comes from Robin Hood, the 1973 animated version of the legendary English folk tale. Notable for its use of anthropomorphic animals instead of humans, this film presents a unique and charming take on the Robin Hood legend. Chilcott’s artwork for this film will be available in 3 different versions. These will be available today at 12PM EST on the Bottleneck Gallery website.
