Friday Jake Kontou and Apollo Gallery team up with Konami to drop artwork for a franchise that is iconic in video games, Metal Gear. When Metal Gear Solid launched on the original playstation it redefined the stealth action genre and introduced new gameplay techniques and memorable gameplay. It became a true classic and today Apollo Gallery pays homage the game with a number of online releases. The artwork from Kontou is stunning as he draws from his previous Metal Gear Delta release and balances stealth and spectacle perfectly. One print drops us straight into Shadow Moses, Snake facing down Metal Gear REX, radar framing the battlefield like you’re mid-mission. The other leans into legacy, a portrait of Snake with the entire saga beneath him, etched in like classified files. Timed and variant editions will be available in both as well as sets.
