Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Dan Mumford

Bottleneck Gallery gives us actual “Turtle Power!” in the form of a new TMNT print by Dan Mumford. I first remember seeing these dudes on the television when the cartoon was released in 1987. Once that theme song enters your ears, you pretty much never forget it. An instant fan, though when the video game was released in 1989 I could not understand why the cover had all the characters wearing the same color mask. It was not till later I realized that comic books were the first place the turtlesmade an appearance, not the cartoon.

This print by Dan Mumford really showcases a lot of the characters I remember watching in the show, that were also part of a vast collection of toys. Appearances by characters like Rat King and Slash are a nice addition. The artwork measures 24″ x 36″ in size and has 3 versions available. In addition to the regular and variant, a glow in the dark print will also be an option. Edition sizes top out at 200 for the regular, 100 for the variant and 150 for the glow-in-the-dark. All copies go on sale today at Noon EST on the BNG homepage.
