Star Trek: The Next Generation – Ready Room Enterprise D by Andrew Probert & Rick Sternbach & Matt Ferguson

Bottleneck Gallery and Vice Press are releasing this Star Trek: The Next Generation piece today, built from original art by Andrew Probert and Rick Sternbach and restored by Matt Ferguson, and it immediately clicked with us because we used to notice this image sitting in Picard’s ready room all the time when we watched the show growing up. It was always one of those background details that quietly stuck with you, such a smart choice to finally bring out as a print. The artwork has that classic late-80s Trek futurism to it, polished and elegant without losing the sense of scale that made the Enterprise feel less like a vehicle and more like the center of an entire world. It’s also nice to see Vice Press staying committed to Star Trek releases, especially with Ferguson continuing his restoration work on original posters and other Trek-related imagery. This release will be available as regular and variant lithographs, with Bottleneck Gallery and Vice Press splitting limited quantities between both shops as a proper collaborative release. And with the timing landing today, it also feels pretty fitting that this one arrives on Captain Picard Day.
