Samurai Jack by Joe Hogan

Joe Hogan builds this Samurai Jack print as a vertical run of episodes and adversaries. Rather than centering on one scene, the composition stacks various scenes and characters from the serries. Hogan’s angular shapes, hard silhouettes, and limited but shifting palette pull from Genndy Tartakovsky’s graphic language without flattening it into simple nostalgia; each panel has its own rhythm, from the icy blues of the assassin sequence to the hot oranges and reds of the battle sections. Jack anchors the middle in white robes, sword raised, while the surrounding frames work almost like memories or mission files from across the show’s long arc. Bottleneck Gallery is releasing the print today in conjunction with ACME Archives, with both a lithograph and a foil giclée edition available when they go on sale at 12PM ET.
