Salomé by Tula Lotay

Salome is the daughter of Herod II and Herodias. She demands and receives the head of John the Baptist, during a dance at the birthday of her stepfather, hence the artwork you see here. She is often depicted as a temptress who lures men away from salvation. The exquisite piece here by Tula Lotay is an amazing interpretation of this scene and another great work of art, among the many, from this world famous artist. You can see more of her great pieces here. I absolutely love the style she users in her work. The piece will go on sale this Thursday at 1PM EST. Those in the UK can purchase this on the Black Dragon Press website and everyone else can grab it from the Evil Tender website.
