Tron by Mr. Melville

Neon geometry everywhere. Mr. Melville heads into Tron this afternoon at Bottleneck Gallery with a print that really leans into the film’s strange, synthetic space: a wide grid arena packed with recognizers, light cycles, floating spheres. Down in the foreground, Melville adds another nice story beat with Sark seated in his command craft and a relaxed Tron figure along the rim, giving the whole composition the feel of a map of the digital frontier rather than a single scene. If you’ve followed his detailed releases with Moon Island Arts over the years, this one fits right in with that same careful world-building. Bottleneck will have four different editions available, including two foil versions and an aluminum panel print, all going on sale this afternoon in collaboration with Pulse Gallery.
