This afternoon Vice Press adds to their Editions collection, dropping the classic Drew Struzan artwork for John Carpenter’s classic, The Thing. Released in 1982, it is a remake of the 1951 film “The Thing from Another World,” and both films are based on the 1938 novella “Who Goes There?” by John W. Campbell Jr. The classic movie poster artwork hints at the chilling and suspenseful nature of the film without giving away specific details of the film, using visual elements to evoke a sense of dread and the unknown. The poster is indicative of the style of Struzan, who is known for his work on movie posters for many popular films from the 1980s and beyond. The Thing will be available this afternoon at 1PM EST in the Vice Press shop.
