Mondo’s poster release for Thursday features two films from Wes Anderson, The Grand Budapest Hotel & The Darjeeling Limited. The Grand Budapest Hotel artwork comes to us from Murugiah. His colorful, hallucinogenic prints always stir the imagination, though this one is not his usual style as the colors are more subdued to match the films style. This print is 24″ x 36″ and it will have an edition of 270. It will cost $65 and be printed by Lady Lazarus.
The other print comes to us from Thomas Danthony and is from another Wes Anderson film The Darjeeling Limited. This is the fist time we have been introduced to Danthony’s work and we won’t soon forget it. His breaking down of objects into the most simple form has a relaxing look to them and his artwork is outstanding. The Darjeeling print is 18″x 24″ and will come in two versions. The regular English version will have an edition of 200 and cost $50. The Hindi language variant will have an edition of 100 and cost $65. These will be printed by DL Screenprinting. Both Wes Anderson prints will be available tomorrow, February 10th at 12PM EST on Mondo’s Drop.
