Greg Staples takes on one of horror’s most iconic images with The Bride of Frankenstein, newly released via Vice Press. For the artwork, Staples focuses to the Bride herself, capturing that unforgettable profile: the sculpted hair streaked with lightning-white, the tense jawline, the sideways glance that feels both fearful and defiant. Along with the green backdrop and vintage typography the print harkens back to movie poster artwork of old. It’s a great composition, simple, yet striking and a fine addition to the Universal Monsters lineup. It’s been a number of years since we have seen new poster artwork from Staples, but we hope to see Staples do other monsters in this vein as well. Available now via Vice Press.
