Brian De Palma’s Phantom of the Paradise is a gloriously unhinged cult classic that fuses rock opera, satire, and horror into one neon-lit fever dream.Truth be told this movie was released before we were born and we have never even heard of it until it showed up via Mutant yesterday. It definitely gives off that Rocky Horror Picture Show vibes, though not entirely the same. The artwork from Rosemary Valero-O’Connell falls right in line with the tone of the film, it is elegant, but also unsettling at the same time. It’s abstract, emotional, slightly unhinged and beautiful, a great representation of the film that has little in the way of alternative movie posters. On sale at 12PM ET via Mutant.
