Apollo Gallery closes out the week with a stellar double feature: Metropolis by Adam Demarti and First Blood by Tony Stella. Demarti’s Metropolis is a striking tribute to Fritz Lang’s landmark 1927 sci-fi epic. A film whose influence still echoes through everything from cyberpunk to modern blockbuster world-building. His print leans into the film’s expressionist contrast and iconic Maschinenmensch design, blending golds and shadows into a composition that feels both reverent and newly energized.
Stella’s First Blood is pure magic, a painterly, emotionally charged take on the original Rambo film. Stella continues to be one of the best in the world at channeling the spirit of classic illustrated posters, and this piece captures all the grit, loneliness, and heartbreak that made First Blood so much more than the action franchise it became. Originally released as a screen print in July of last year, this release will be for the art print version. Both prints are on sale today at 12PM ET, and Apollo Gallery is running special Black Friday pricing through December 1st, with discounts on lots of prints. Head over there today to check it out and pick up some new prints as well.
