Le Nom De La Rose by Laurent Durieux

Today a new poser house enters the arena an Vertigo Art Print, debuts their initial release by none other then the master himself, Laurent Durieux. For their first drop Vertigo is releasing artwork for the film, Le Nom De La Rose (The Name of the Rose). Released in 1986, the film is a historical mystery, thriller adapted from Umberto Eco‘s 1980 novel of the same name. It was directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, and had a stellar cast including, Sean Connery, Christian Slater and F. Murray Abraham among others. Durieux has done a magnificent job taking the films themes and distilling them down into a single image, what else do you expect but a well thought out and crafted piece from Durieux. Excited to see what else Vertigo releases in the coming months, but their first release drops today at 12PM on the Vertigo website.
