Jaws 50th Anniversary Wave One by CODA

To mark 50 years of Jaws, CODA brought together some of the sharpest names in the poster and fine art world for a gallery tribute that felt equal parts celebration and confrontation, fitting for a film that still swims under our skin. The show opened in Red Bank, NJ, an interesting full-circle move for a film shot in Martha’s Vineyard but famously inspired by the 1916 New Jersey shark attacks, which helped ignite the shark hysteria Peter Benchley would ride into pop culture legend. From coastal myth to cinematic icon.

From the photos it looked like there were some awesome pieces created for this show and this afternoon the first batch of posters from the show will be dropping, including artwork from Roger Kastel, Jason Edmiston, Matt Ryan Tobin and Sam Wolfe Connelly. CODA always plays it close to the vest with release information, but some initial details are below. We’ll update with pricing and edition sizes once these go up for sale, today at 1PM ET on the CODA website.
