This afternoon the Apollo Gallery brings us new Drive artwork from artist Will Rochfort. Rochfort is a new artist to us, but is a well-known UK based artist with a substantial following. Known for his ability to create rich, cinematic scenes with detailed brushwork, Rochfort’s work captures the atmosphere of Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 film. Drive is one of our favorite films, so we never really get tired of seeing new artwork for it.
These will drop in three different versions, a regular, variant and art print version, dubbed the Master variant. In addition to being screen prints, these will have some spot varnish and gold metallic typography treatments. We love it when posters have these nice little extras in them, kudos to Apollo Gallery for adding these to the prints to elevate them a bit.
