Beauty and the Beast by Matt Ryan Tobin & The Muppet Show by Morgan Girvin

Bottleneck Gallery is dropping a pair of very different but equally impressive releases today, each celebrating a beloved property through meticulous illustration and smart composition. The Muppet Show by Morgan Girvin is an absolute feast of details. Girvin turns the classic variety show into a full theatrical cross-section, pulling back the curtain to reveal the charm and controlled madness that made The Muppet Show so special. Every space in the theater is packed with familiar faces and easter eggs, every time you look at it, you will see something new.
On the other end of the spectrum is Beauty and the Beast by Matt Ryan Tobin. Tobin distills the story down to the enchanted rose, floating in isolation under glass, brilliantly incorporating the image of the Beast into the rose itself. Overall the piece is minimalist in nature, with Tobin letting the negative space and symbolism do the work here, there is beauty in the simplicity. Both prints are available today at 12PM ET via Bottleneck Gallery.
