Today Mondo is releasing a classic. Along with Jason Edmiston, Jon Smith and Shane Mahn, Mondo is releasing a reproduction of Bob Peak’s classic Apocalypse Now movie poster. Bob Peak was a very well-known artist and illustrator. His works have been featured in many different publications over the years. Which includes, Time magazine, TV Guide and Sports Illustrated. For this release, the iconic artwork was painstakingly reproduced with the help of Bob’s son, Matthew. This artwork is instantly recognizable and for us, one of the most well known posters ever created. While there are many variations of this artwork, this one stands above the rest for us. From what we can see, it looks pretty much identical to the 1979 version. The screen print is standard 24″ x 36″ and comes in edition size of 425. The piece goes on sale today, at Noon EST on Mondo’s Drop.
