It’s nice when good things happen. Earlier this week, Mutant, a group of previous Mondo founders and employees announced they were getting the band back together and were going to start releasing posters, records and toys in the same vein as their previous venture and we couldn’t be more excited at this revival. Admittedly it has been a little less exciting around here as of late with the shuttering of Grey Matter Art and then the slow demise of Mondo, but this news ushers in a new era we are looking forward to what’s to come.
What a great way to kick off their new beginning then with alternative movie poster artwork by one of our favorite artists, Nicolas Delort. Delort’s high contrasted, black and white style is a great fit for the film at the center of this release, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. The Iranian vampire film, presented in black and white centers around a lonely, skateboarding vampire who stalks the town’s residents. It blends themes of romance and horror among others to create a stylish film that is something unique. The artwork from Delort looks fantastic and is a great representation of the film. Our only wish is that it was the larger format 36″ x 24″ instead of the smaller sized 24″ x 18″ but this is a minor squabble. The print will be available for purchase today at 11AM EST on the new Mutant website. Cost and edition size are below.
