Moon Knight, the new Marvel, Disney+ series kicked off today. It stars Oscar Issac who has been on a tear lately. The man has been everywhere and for good reason, he’s a fantastic actor. Some of his most recent prominent roles include Ex Machina, Star Wars, Annihilation, Dune and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid. Have not watched the first episode of Moon Knight, yet but plan to do so later this evening. Moon Knight, created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin made his debut in Werewolf by Night #32, way back in 1975.
Tomorrow Grey Matter Art gives us artwork from his debut comic and some other prominent releases featuring the marvel superhero. There will be 3 different prints offered, all will be 16″ x 24″, have edition sizes of 100 and cost $50. What a great drop to kick off the new series, with some prints from key comics in Moon Knight’s history. Marvel Spotlight #28 by Don Perlin, was the first solo Moon Knight story. Werewolf by Night #32 by Gil Kane & Al Milgrom, pas mentioned prior, the first time Moon Knight made an appearance. Moon Knight #1 (Homage Cover) by Ken Lashley is a recreation of Werewolf by Night #32. It looks awesome. Per usual the prints will also be also available as a matching numbered set for $140. On sale tomorrow at 1PM EST. I suspect we’ll see more Moon Knight art in the coming weeks and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates.
